Kiansom Waterfall – The Upper Fall

Yesterday, 31st August, was our National Day.  And holiday means time for some outdoor activity.  Anyway, one of my friends called up while I was having my lunch, to go to the Kiansom Waterfall and to the upper part where seldom people would want to go due to the trek.

It was an unexpected trip so I wasn’t well prepared but still managed to get to the upper fall.  The 1st and 2nd falls are more magnificent but we didn’t trek to there due to not enough time.

To get to the waterfall, we had to trek through bushes like this.  Seems easy from the photo, but in real, it requires some stamina to get there.  Although there is a very narrow walk path all the way, part of the sections are quite steep, and the whole place can get slippery too during rainy day.  Not to mention most of the time you will be walking on the narrow pathway which is on the cliff.  It’s a very good exercise, however.

A 2nd trip, which will be to the 1st and 2nd falls are under planning.
