Live Band – Seven Fun Pub @ Blue Seven Club

Went there with a friend last month to have some drinks, and noticed that the new live band was pretty good, at least compare to the previous one.   Actually we have been there to shoot the previous band but my D90 was not able to do it well.  So this time, since I have got a new camera body, I went to try it out again…and man, it’s fun!

The new band in the house is SEPIA BAND from the Philippines.  Vocalists are awesome, and so do all the band members.

Day 1 – D700 + Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8.

The focal length was too short, and my hands were not sturdy enough.  Although it’s an awesome lens, it’d be nice with a VR.  Nevertheless, the focus speed is just fantastic!

Day 2 – D700 + Nikon 105mm macro f/2.8.

While the focal length is about right, the focus speed is a bit slow compare to the Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8.

Day 3 – Same gear as Day 2, but I went to try out with some different camera settings.  And I think the pictures look much better than the previous 2 days.

Well, got a couple things to catch up in the next few days, after that, I will go again.  My plan, to get a series of photos of each of the band member.  Since they are from the Philippines, we will probably never cross path again once they left town.  So those photos will sure serve as a good memorial.
